“We’re doing with virtual reality what we did with 4K seven years ago, and we’re doing it at an affordable and fair price,” says Joel Holland, our Founder and Executive Chairman. “With this addition, VideoBlocks continues to be at the forefront of the industry as a trusted platform for the mass creative class to explore new ways of creating, which in this case, is virtual reality.”

VideoBlocks engineers built a custom 360º sphere player for members to test out the videos before downloading. The footage has been fully stitched together and is ready for use by hobbyists and professionals alike, just in time for the release of VR headsets like the Oculus Rift.

With this new expansion into the world of virtual reality, VideoBlocks is providing an avenue for VR filmmakers all over the world to share their work with stock video consumers. We’re partnering with global industry leaders to bring you a wide variety of VR content, including Ovrture, OFFHOLLYWOOD, Atmosphaeres, DeepVR, Subvrsive, and 360Labs.

The 360º content available in our library includes immersive virtual reality experiences of diverse and breathtaking subject matter, from African wildlife and outer space to exotic beaches at sunset and urban hyperlapses. We are featuring footage from Ovrture and OFFHOLLYWOOD in our Unlimited Library, making it free to download for all VideoBlocks members.

Footage from our other partners will be available through the VideoBlocks Marketplace. As always, contributors receive 100% commission on all of the content they sell. Members pay $399 per clip for 360º monoscopic footage and $499 per clip for 360º 3D stereoscopic content. We put the community first by keeping prices on this new content type as affordable as possible.
