Are you a frequent collaborator on creative projects? Do you want to share multiple files with clients to review in one go without sending a long list of links? To stay organized and improve your workflow efficiency, project folders are the tried-and-true way of keeping your clips catalogued, whether by project, theme, or any other category you can create. Plus, they’re easily shareable.

You can start a project folder one of two ways: either in the Project Folders section of your Member Dashboard, or right in your search results.

Creating Project Folders in Your Member Dashboard

To create a folder from your dashboard, first go to Account, then select Project Folders from the drop-down menu that appears.

Voila! Your folder is ready. Now let’s try creating a folder within your search results.

Click on Explore to return to the main page, or simply enter your search query into the box at the top of the page. In this example, we’re searching for footage of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the word.

This clip looks good. Next we can create our project folder for it or add it to an already existing folder by hovering over the clip and selecting the Folder option.

A new dialogue window should pop up with the options to either create your new folder, or select which project folder you want to save the clip. You can also add notes if you want.

Now it’s time to view the clip in your project folder! Just like last time, select Account, then Project Folders. Then, click on My Newest Project to view the clip(s) you saved there!

Now, you have several options on where to go from here. You can either a) share the folder with your collaborators or clients to review the clips, b) remove any clips you may have accidentally saved to the folder, or c) download the clips to your computer.
