We’re all about helping our creators optimize their workflow by putting together short and sweet tutorials with fun editing tips and tricks. We want you to spend time creating—not scouring the internet for the advice you need. So we’re here to help. A few weeks ago we showed you how to blur an image or logo in Final Cut Pro using royalty-free stock footage from our library. We don’t want to leave anyone out so now we’re diving back into the same concept but using Adobe Premiere Pro. Let’s get started.

How to Import Your Footage

1. Open up Premiere Pro, go to File>Import, choose your footage, and drop it into your Timeline. We chose this dynamic time lapse clip right from our library.

5. Go to the Effects Control Panel to manipulate the effect. Set the Gaussian Blur to the appropriate blurriness. We like to start in the 25-30 range.

6. Go to back to Video Effects and click “Transform” and choose “Crop”. Use the crop parameters to scale down the crop and move it to cover the desired logo or image. You can also create a Mask to crop your blur to an area.
