It’s been our greatest wish since childhood: traveling through the future in a modified DeLorean. Not only did we finally get to fulfill this wish—but we captured it all on film. In 4K resolution.

In tribute to the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown first stepped, and drove, into “the future” (and to the franchise that inspired many of us to enter the film industry—and add orange vests to our wardrobes), we’ve uploaded the first-ever stock footage of a time machine, a.k.a., DeLorean, to our library.

No spoilers on whether or not we broke the time barrier and, subsequently, the speed limit; however, we can report that opening and closing its gullwing doors and seeing a flux capacitor in the rearview mirror were both every bit as “heavy” as we imagined.

The only thing “heavier” was uploading the footage for our subscribers—who, if our calculations are correct, will give it a bright future.
