5 Places to Find Freelancers to Edit After Effects Templates

There’s a lot that goes into creating marketing materials for a small business. If you’re just starting out, editing your own after effects templates for your creative might not be a task you want to tackle. Sure, you’ve got the basics of Photoshop and InDesign down, but you’ve never even opened Adobe After Effects, let alone tried to edit an After Effects template—and let’s be honest, with web design projects, ad creative, and even social media accounts to manage, you likely have zero extra time to do so. The solution? Download royalty-free After Effects templates and hire a freelancer to edit them for you.

To make it easier on you to use our amazing After Effects templates, we’ve listed a few freelance websites where you can hire someone to do the editing for you. These are the top five freelancer sites, as well as the pros and cons to using each of them.

1. Fiverr

Fiverr has a nice design and an easy-to-use interface. The company has come a long way since they originally started with just $5 gigs. Now, freelancers can list gigs for any multiple of $5, which has drawn in much higher caliber designers. While you may be able to find a good AE template editing gig for $5, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Make sure to look at the customer reviews, and don’t hesitate to ask for samples of their previous work.

2. 99designs

99designs is different from most freelance design sites because as the client, you create a contest for designers to enter. First, you’ll create a design brief and choose a design package based on your budget. Next, you’ll launch the contest and then designs will pop up from the 99designs community. The last step is to give feedback and pick your favorite design. If you find a designer who you want to work with again, you can work with them directly next time using the projects side of 99designs.

3. PeoplePerHour

Unlike Fiverr and 99designs, PeoplePerHour works with hourly rates rather than per-project rates. You can browse hourly freelancers and contact them directly about a project or you can post a gig for freelancers to apply to. Like Fiverr, pricing varies on PeoplePerHour. This partly because the global community allows freelancers from some areas to accept a cheaper rate. Also, like Fiverr, you should ask for samples of previous work before you move forward with a freelancer.

4. Upwork

On Upwork, you primarily find freelancers by posting a job and waiting for the system to match you with the right editor based on your post and their skills. You may see this as a blessing because you won’t waste hours trying to figure out who the best freelancers might be. Of course, you can still do some searching of your own if you want.

5. Freelancer.com

Freelancer.com is exactly what you would expect—a large network of freelancers who are ready to work. Once you post your project, freelancers will bid on it. As the client, you can browse freelancer profiles, chat with them in real-time, and see their previous projects. You only pay once you are completely satisfied with the work that is done.

Save time and use one of these freelancer sites to find someone to edit your After Effects template. Or, if you want to learn how to edit templates on your own, learn from our After Effects tutorials.
